With the dummy load, we expect to see zero VSWR, and as anticipated, that’s what we got.

Our tests at various power levels—20 watts, 50 watts, and 100 watts—showed that the SX-200 was nearly spot on with its measurements. At 100 watts, the Bird indicated 3 watts of reflected power, while the SX-200 showed 3.75 watts, a close enough reading to instill confidence in its accuracy.

When testing a different setup with a higher VSWR, the Bird showed 28 watts of reflected power, while the SX-200 indicated 25 watts, again demonstrating its reliability. The meter features a PP monitor button that enhances reading accuracy, especially when monitoring SSB signals. This function allows for a more precise average PA indication, proving the SX-200's capability in various scenarios.
