Essentially, the Yaesu FT-710 Field is a variant of the FT-710 series to meet the needs of portable operation. To save weight and valuable space, the SP-40 speaker is not included, but a convenient carrying strap for the unit is.

For customers who desire to enjoy the remarkable AESS features with their FT-710 Field, the SP-40 remains an optional accessory.
